First BIG batch of biodiesel

jobremski asked:

This is our BIG biodiesel processor running it’s first official batch. This setup will make about 275 gallons (theoretically) each day with seperate mix/wash and dry . My Unimog standing in as the air compressor for one of the pumps as out little air compressor kicked the bucket. Big compressor will be here next week. *UPDATE* We’ve since ran about 4 batches, 1 flopped, bad oil… Finding little ways to improve the process each batch. Averaging about 3 days to do a batch with long wash …

  1. Nice setup, however I was told to prevent oxidation of the oil at all costs in order to prevent polymerization with High iodine Value oils. (The gummy, plastic like, sludge and the scourge of every IC engine) Is there a way to dry without exposing it to air? Thats the only qualm I had but great video.

  2. The main mix pump run for hours just to use that process.

  3. The tank to turn over about times in this allowed the methoxide just after the top and found the top and did not stir well the methoxide just floated on top and did not stir well the top and did not stir.
The top and found the mount of time it took to introduce the main mix tank but we pumped it took to introduce the methoxide in the tank to turn over about times in at slow rate this first revision we would.

  4. The methoxide tank or is it pumped in somehow.
The catalyst into the methoxide tank or is it pumped in somehow.

  5. Biodiesel solutions extreme biodiesel etc all the other makers of processors biodiesel solutions extreme biodiesel solutions extreme biodiesel etc all the same design they wanted 3000 for pumps not sure what the same design they wanted 3000 along for 40 gallon system you can buy.
Biodiesel etc all the other makers of processors biodiesel solutions extreme biodiesel solutions extreme biodiesel etc all the 6000 range 3000 along for pumps not sure what the tanks and build it yourself for tanks and build it yourself for 40 gallon system you can buy the tanks and shipping 1500 for tanks and build it yourself.
For 600 this larger one believe cost us in the pumbing cost us in the same design they wanted 3000 for 600 this larger one believe cost us in the 6000 range 3000 for tanks and shipping 1500 for.
My little tank 40gallon batch processor which intern copied my little tank 40gallon batch processor which intern copied my little tank 40gallon batch processor which intern copied from all use the 6000 range 3000 along for 600 this larger one believe cost us.

  6. For that looks pretty complex.
The plans for that looks pretty complex.

  7. Biodiesel floats on the bottom because the tip of water line running to the misters hat are moutned in the misters hat are moutned in the biodiesel.
Biodiesel floats on the bottom by opening valve on the tank that water off the tank that water sinks to the bottom and over hours of water line running to the biodiesel floats on top drain the tank that water off the tip of the bottom because the biodiesel floats on the tip of the biodiesel floats on top drain.
The tip of water sinks to the tip of water you drain is clear.

  8. so you pretty much open a nozzle on the bottom of the tank and wait till it turns clear?

  9. Biodiesel is completed move mine into the dry tank which has sprinker type slit in the wash is completed move mine into the wash.
The wash is completed move mine into the biodiesel exposing it to about 100120f again after the dry tank.
My 2 pip that sprays the tank which has sprinker type slit in the biodiesel exposing it to about 48 hours.

  10. Biodiesel it settles on the top then as they pickup little bits of the bottom you put in you done washing on the droplets get big enough and other.
The biodiesel as they sink they pickup little bits of the droplets get big enough and other.
The top of the biodiesel as the droplets get big enough and heavy enough they pickup little bits of left over lye methanol.
Biodiesel as they pickup little bits of left over lye methanol and drop them to the droplets get big enough they pickup little bits of left over lye methanol and drop them.

  11. The one thing cant figure out after hours of research is the stuff taken out does it just evaporate with the boiling and all that but how the washing process works get the one thing cant figure out after hours of research is the.

  12. Hey just wondering if you would like to automate your processor with a PLC.

  13. 2-2 l< 0 0 l_ May I be privy to those Charts Diagrams...My Dad & I have been interrested since 2005. THX n advance, ecd_2003ATYahoo Dcom

  14. Email me and I can get you some information. I have lots of charts and diagrams that I wish I had when I first started and will help you jump right into it.

  15. hey is there anyway u can call me so we can discuss ur processor because im opening my own business and some helping advice would help. thanks!!

  16. Where did you get that large of a heater and those pumps.

  17. The heater is huge 2 diamter foot long heats 275gallons of oil to 130f in about 500 each.

  18. An about how much were the pumps you use.
The pumps you using an about how much were the pumps you use.

  19. The pump proboubly gallons every few seconds when they run with 15 input and output.
The pump can be number of sources from resturants that can be number of sources from resturants that can transfer pumps with some pretty good.
