Green Lamps Built From Ground Up By LA Designer

At the risk of seeming lazy I am going to post a story I got in the email today (well it is Friday after all and time for the weekend). I felt this pitch just jumped out at me and stands on it own without lots of my jabber. This sounds like a great green product that Ms Allen has come up with and it should get as much exposure as possible.

I have a story that would make for great GREEN editorial!

Interior/lighting designer Linda Allen is about to launch her first line of in-and-outdoor lamps, Live.Anywhere., for which she invented the battery and the lightbulb!

Linda wanted to create a line of lamps that could be used literally ANYWHERE. When she realized that the technology for what she was trying to create didn’t exist though, she decided to invent it herself!

Linda Allen re-designed the LED bulb to 7 watts, which emulates the power of a 55 watt bulb. The lamps are wireless, solar powered and waterproof. They can be used indoors or outdoors, and are going to revolutionize the way we use outdoor space. They give consumers the ability to put a lamp in the middle of a room without cords to trip over, on an outdoor deck for reading after sunset, or even by the hot tub without the fear of being electrocuted! No other fixture has the technology, no similar products are on the market, and no other lighting designer has re-invented the wheel as Linda has done. This technology is patented.

Specifications include, but are not limited to:

* 17 hour continuous operation on “high” setting before battery recharging is required (Continuous operation longer for medium and low settings)
