Finding Discount Auto Parts For Your EV Conversion

EV conversion is a hot thing these days as many of us are not waiting for the big car companies to come to market with their EV’s and are taking things into our own hands by rebuilding older cars into electric vehicles by gutting the engines and adding electric motors and batteries to them. One thing you need is to find and source discount auto parts so that you can keep the price of the conversion down as much as possible. On the batteries side we source from used battery sources such as golf course (old golf cart batteries) and factories (forklift batteries).

One thing when you convert to an electric vehicle from a conventional gas auto you need to find a manual transmission type car as automatic transmissions do not work well with an electric motor. Tha tis why we are sourcing two types of cars right now for our projects. One is Honda and the other is BMW. In order to find Honda auto parts we have gone searching the net to find those needed parts. When you source an old car with a dead engine for a an EV conversion (cheapest option) it may need other parts to make it a solid car again once the conversion is done. We have chosen Honda for their reliable cars and ready access to find them in our area.

The other make we are sourcing is BMW, mainly due to a personal flavor as we have owned BMers in the past and like the ride. With a higher end German car like the BMW you really need to find a good price on your BMW auto parts in order to keep your EV project in line with your budget.
