Mass market adoption of plug-in electric vehicles (PEVs) has the potential to fundamentally transform the nation’s use, reducing our dependence on foreign oil, decreasing emissions of greenhouse gases, and increasing national security. This panel, moderated by Tony Earley, Executive Chairman of DTE , and featuring Ted Craver of Edison International, Nancy Gioia of , Britta Gross of General Motors, Don Karner of , and Jim Piro of Portland General Electric, will discuss the effort to prepare for the deployment of PEVs with PEV readiness initiatives and partnerships between utilities, automakers, third party infrastructure providers, and battery manufacturers.
