I was given one of these to use as a company car……..I wanted a Golf GTI. All my work colleagues got Golf GTI’s. They laugh at me whenever I enter the parking lot.

Tesla Roadster is nice, but you need to be a gazillionaire to afford one. I know, like the vcr the price will one day decrease, but probably not until new technological discoveries impove on the existing engineering. How bout a better battery charging system that eliminates the hasle of pluggin-in and also the presence of an internal combustion engine a la hybrid? Anyway, a lot of gas can be bought for the same price of the car. Cmon American auto industry, it’s time to lead the way!

Hybrids have killed people in accidents, the batteries explode and they don’t save gas! Hybrids dont work because they are environmental. They need lots of repairs too. Better to wait for hydrogen and not doing anything until then. Hydrogen is made out of normal, regular fossil fuels so oil companies won’t go bankrupt and hurt the economy and lose people’s jobs. But if we buy hybrids, oil companies will lay everybody off and ipods will be too expensive. Think about JOBS not saving gas.

The only problem that I have with hybrid cars is low preformance ratings and that they have really gay looking designs. They should make hybrids have car design from the 1970′s because those cars look way better.

no craig, are you that ignorant? look at gas prices these days.i think people get hybrids to save money and to help out the environment. one last comment i love hybrid cars such as the prius;i will be the first person to get it w/tinted windows. hybrids are a great start for the future, but there are other hybrids that could be and are more fuel efficient.the current oil crisis should be a wake up call to all of us to conserve more and utilize our resources more efficiently.

i don’t think it really matters whether hybrid cars are aesthetically beautiful or horrific these days.i see people these days dying to get rid of their fuel guzzling cars, cars that have v8engines, suvs.etc.its a ludicrous situation now,ive said it from the beginning,if people don’t care about the environment then you must get a more fuel efficient car to make an easier load off your wallet.people are so stupid,instead of looking for the cheapest gas station get a more fuel efficient car.

you are very right. But just saying its natural is avoiding the issue. The fact is we face some serious environmental issues and whether we or nature started it is irrelevant. We have to do something to stop it or at least slow down. Dont be ignorant.
The prius is a good start, it is unfortunate that it was produced as a concept car as these vehicles tend to look unattractively futuristic. And I for one believe Toyota does not have much luck when it comes to aesthetics (excpt the MR2 )
